Trey will be exploring the district's watersheds this summer through a series of campaign canoe trips. He believes that our watersheds connect us directly to our neighbors, transcending man-made political boundaries and keeping our focus on what connects us rather than on what divides us."

This trip commemorating the 393rd anniversary of Etienne Brule's first descent of the Susquehanna by a European was sponsored by Endless Mountain Outfitters of Wyalusing. We participated in the last, ten mile leg from French Azilum to Sugar Run, on the Susquehanna River in Bradford County on May 18. It was cold, rainy and exhausting, but we saw bald eagles, blue herons, purple martins and house finches and the company was good.

Lewisburg Independence
Day Parade

Trey and his family participated in the Lewisburg Independence Day Parade on June 28th. Jim Donahue, a supporter from Sullivan County, gave the Casimir campaign a lift with his Excalibur convertible.

The parade began with a B-25 Mitchell circling the town at low altitude and ended with a variety of ceremonies honoring those who have served in the U.S. Armed Services.  There was a huge crowd lining Market and South Third Streets, and they were not deterred by a brief downpour that struck mid-way through the event.

As a group, the Union County Democrats had over 30 people marching, and they managed to give away 100 lbs of Tootsie Rolls.  Special thanks to Kameryn Westling and Sam Jacobson, who handed out 100 Casimir for Senate helium balloons.
